Effects of tillage method and drainage management on some soil physical properties

Tillage is one of the most important practices affecting soil physical and hydraulic properties. Its effects may vary intensely according to tillage method. This study aims evaluate different methods (moldboard plow+disk harrow, moldboard plow+rotary tiller chisel harrow) drainage (subsurface non-drainage) on properties in a clay loam soil. The experiment was conducted split-plot time statistical design. Soil bulk density, aeration porosity, organic matter, aggregate mean weight diameter (MWD) water infiltration rate were measured after planting harvesting winter-wheat crop. Results revealed that method had significant effect matter content, such lowest (1.18%) highest (1.35%) values observed plow/disk harrow treatment, respectively. saturated moisture MWD, porosity rate. all investigated factors. MWD Evaluating interaction indicated contribution changing higher than methods. Further, it concluded selection an role no condition, so plow makes much more (25.48% against 17.17%) less (2.40 2.80 mm) compared chisel. According result, treatment combination including drainage/after planting/moldboard disk also, combined harvesting/chisel plow) MWD. application not recommended no-drained areas having high level groundwater, because content along with plow.
